Compare and Contrast Dogs

  Because my zodiac is a rat, I have sort of relation with mice. I have recognized two mice since I was an innocent kid. One of them is an active, yellow, furry mouse named pikachu. Another is a talking mouse with big, black ears, and always has sincere friendship--it is Mickey Mouse.
  Both of them are fictional character in cartoons, but always affect kids by their action. They are helpful,  kindhearted and willing to venture themselves in order to protect others, such as pikachu loves its owner and secures him by battling; Mickey Mouse treasures not only its girlfriend, Minnie Mouse, but also its friends truthfully, and risked for solving their problems. They don't sick of helping others again and again, but pleased to aid them; because they know that they are doing the right things. Although they are just fictional, but their attitude is worth for us to learn.  
  Compare and contrast the difference between them, pikachu is bellicose because it fights against other pokemons to  increase its power. Pikachu could store electricity in its cheeks and release it in lightning-based attacks. It is also pretty sociable on making pokemon friends, it could reconcile the dispute between them. Mickey Mouse is more lamblike than pikachu, but it doesn't mean it often shrinks. In fact, Mickey is pretty intellectual at some points. It thinks deeply to help its friends  passing crisis, and leads them to achieve the goals. 

Knowledge of Dogs

  According to the story "In Trouble, the author Paulsen said: " They had great, old knowledge; they had something we had lost." I think it means that dogs have some important characteristics which humans have forgotten, such as loyalty. From the fact of the story, it seems that dogs could link their hearts with their owners. No matter where the owners were, they would try their best to protect them, to take care of them; because they love their owners very, very much, dogs would repay their owners by contributing its whole life. That's why the author said that the dogs had great, old knowledge that we don't have. Dogs are also used as a guard. They could avoid people who might threaten their master by observing their conducts. They can distinguish the difference between good and bad people. I think people can learn a lot of things from animals by observing their actions. Because I didn't really have a pet before, I just told a  news  I had heard before. An tired, old, black dog had been found at a park , it was pretty dirty, because it had abandoned by a teenager who thought the dog was too old . This is the fourth time that the master had abandoned the dog. We could observed that there were tears on its face. Could  you believe that the master had abandoned it at south Taiwan, but the dog walked day by day till North Taiwan and near its master's house? Although it knew that the master didn't love it anymore, it still didn't give up. All of the animals have humor, they know the feeling joyful, anger, sorrowful or fear; we have to treasure them as good friends, not kind of garbage when they're old and you dislike them.  

Describe a Place You Know

  One of the place that I knew pretty well is the local school that I transferred before. I would like to talk about it because I had a impression on it deeply.Actually, it was not a good memory,  it was kind of dreadful. The facade of the school is European fashion with gorgeous and modernized design; it was painted as slight yellow. It made an impression on me when I noticed its appearance, feeling that it might be a heaven of peace and happiness.There is a international auditorium on the fifth floor, it could contain 500 capacity and serve as a venue of performance. The school is shape as U; in the middle of  school, there was a flat of soft, emerald grasses, which makes most of the people want to lie  on and enjoy the sunlight. (But we couldn't, we might mark by a warn from the school) Walking through the  hallway,  the ensemble is always neat and dapper , also, students are silence and quiet ,so we could clearly hear the sound of reading aloud . Then, why did I say that it was sort of dreadful memory? Because we have unlimited quizzes, tests, exams everyday. Under the silence and quiet, we are studying. We have to pay attention for every classes, since we might fall behind to our classmates, to the placing of grades of whole school. Therefore, I don't think it is worth to the meaning of study and learning for grades.

The Setting of ''In Trouble''

     The setting of "In Trouble" is really mysterious and terrifies me . The weather in the story is pretty cold and chilly. It's so cold that your throat might start to bleed, the fingers and toes might be frozen. The climate over there is very cold, no animals or other creatures will be active (even the animals had tons of fats or thick furs), most of the creatures are silent under the cold world. Snow covers everything, even the vitality is covered with white . The setting is really significant, it tell the readers that the story is happened freezingly. We might wonder if there is a place in the world, and how could humans alive? So, we could infer that it isn't a good place to live indeed. Because the chilly and horrible setting, the story makes me enchanted that I'm over there and makes my feeling more extreme and intense. Furthermore, mood can be built from the setting.The readers can feel whether joyful, anger, sorrowful or fear. The setting plays lots of important things for the plot. The cold winter makes the plot seems to be kind of creepy and dread of our hearts. 

Chinese Cinderella Summary

The main character in the novel is AdelineYen-Mah , who is the fifth child in her family ( Wu Mei ). She was born in a rich family of China during the War World II. She got one elder sister, three elder brothers; and one younger brother and sister from stepmother, Niang. It was kind of traditional big family. Adeline's mother came down and died with a high fever three days after she was born. Therefore, her relationship with her brothers and sisters wasn't good, they detested her and had misunderstanding to her.
  Their father then married a new women, a Eurasian girl,Niang. She was despised by her children, because she treated wicked to the kids who weren't born by her.  The only person who was treating Adeline nice was her aunt Baba and Ye Ye. Aunt Baba encouraged her to study hard and get go lived without cruel Niang and father when she grown up. But, in order to avoid the kids organized and resisted, Niang decided to bribe their leader, big sister. Right now, Big Sister had turned to the "other" side for the propose of rewards, such as pocket money. Although Adeline had to rely on her own efforts, she still didn't shrink back. Adeline was intelligent, and she always did a great job at school. She loved school, because she got many friends there. One of her closest friend was Wu Chun-Mei. Thanks for Wu Chun-Mei, Adeline was even elected to become the president of their class. Niang didn't allow any kids in the family to go to others' house. Once, for celebrating her birthday, Adeline had gone to Wu Chun-Mei's house . Niang was very furious after she found out. She thought that was because of her aunt for spoiling a child. After all, she had a scheme.

The Influence of Setting

  One early autumn morning, the sound of many birds singing awakened me. I could have lain in bed until noon but I did not do so. Why ? There was a sudden change in the weather and I knew that autumn was coming.
  When autumn comes, the leaves of the trees will turn yellow with each passing day. The ants and bees would be busy preparing and storing food for their winter-sleep.The winds of autumn will be blowing leaves to the ground. Winter will soon come around. With these thoughts, there I stood staring in front of the window, one early autumn morning.
  Autumn is a wonderful time of the year. It is not as hot as summer and not as cold as winter. It's a time of change : the seasons change, the colors change and people change a little, too. Autumn has often been compared to the last turn before you die. Many people prefer spring and compare it to the beginning of life.
  The events of a story could be influenced by settings because the plot depends on the settings.If the setting is temperate, the plot might be a warm and happy-ending story. But, there is still require a climax in the story, whether it's a understanding or a surprise, in order to enlighten or astonish readers .

Setting

   When we have to overcome with an irresistible force, or rush out besetment, some of the people might give up, some of the people might " wrap up " themselves, such as telling a lie.
   Not all of the lies are bad beautiful lies with goodwill make people believe things, at least, they feel better than discover the truth, such as comforting a baby. Though we know that it might die for horrible sickness, we still couldn't tell it the truth, we love it and have pity for its life. On the other hand, ugly lies make us wrapt too much unreality for covering our mistakes. Honestly, I must tell the truth, I have told lies before. Specially for my parents and teachers, I feel sorry to them, and apologizefor my falsehood. Like what I shared before, when I have to overcome with an irresistible force, sometimes, I lie . I could dree pressure for moments, but not always. So, I choose a way to shirk - telling lies. While I was lying, I felt uncomfortable with, unprecedented fear and the darkness of future. It seems that there are lots of secretive contempt on people's face - everybody is despising me. Actually, after I lie, I start thinking the motive of lying, just feel that I'm kind of silly. For the sake of short freedom, I lose my credit.
However, from now on, pass our lives by honesty, so we could feel relaxed and pleasant.
